So...the oldest daughter has now been doing cheerleading for about 3 weeks...not as bad as I thought it was going to be. She is making new friends and she looks just too cute in her uniform.

~when i was younger, it was SO not okay to be a cheerleader where I grew up. Being on the other side isn't so bad though. I'm seeing my 8 yr old blossom as a leader in her squad and she loves being in front of people. It used to really scare her but now the shyness is melting away.

and now for the younger one. The 5 year old is such a character! My girls just make me smile constantly. She decided to be a silly girl and interrupt my conversation with my mother and dance like a goofball. It in turn made us laugh and then had me telling her she needed to go and get dressed.

with both of her little hands she makes the peace sign in front of her chest and says, "deuces" and then leaves the living room.

I looked over at my mother and asked, "did my daughter really just 'deuces' us?" We both just laughed...there is an running joke with my friends and that phrase so it just goes to show you...the kids are always listening.

This is why I LOVE being a mommy!
